Captivating, relentless, uplifting rhythms fill the streets of Salvador, Recife, Fortaleza and Rio. Forró, Afoxê, Samba-reggae, Afro-Samba, Samba de roda. Samba schools, Bloco Afros, Trios Electricos. Lula Almeida was raised on these sounds. He's carried and ridden the grooves from Salvador, Bahia through Israel, Japan, Germany and the U.S., settling eventually in Los Angeles, CA.
